Dating back in parts to the early 1700's, Iscoyd Park is a stunning private house, which has recently undergone a huge refurbishment carefully moulding it into one of the countries foremost wedding venues. It has been beautifully restored by the present owners, Phil and Susie Godsal who with the help of Interior Designer Suzy Hoodless, have transformed this country home into a multi award winning wedding venue.
Recognised by the HHA/Sotherbys restoration awards in 2011 as one of only three properties commended for its restoration project, as well as being named 'Best Wedding venue' in the same year, it was a hugely prestigious project to be asked to be involved in.
We were asked by the present owners to draw up a list of the best products for the ongoing renovation and year round maintenance work required for a property and business of this calibre.
After initial site visits we took tiny wall colour samples from the house which we scanned and copied into small sample tins which we then sent to the owners. One of the main colours used in the common parts of the house was a combination of two different paint colours mixed together so to get a perfect match was crucial. Various wallpapers were scanned for colour matches and suitable combinations, and colour samples were made up.
Various paint products were sent for trial, chosen to suit various parts of the house from walls to windows.
We have continued to be involved with Iscoyd in their on going restoration work, which most recently included the transformation of their private section of the house, the attic as well as the outbuildings and stables.
