New eico Chalk Matt

  New for 2016 eico have bought out their own chalk paint. This water based paint is for interior use only, it can be used on walls, furniture and accessories. eico chalk matt is easy to use and has good coverage, due to the specific composition chalk paint does not flow like regular paint therefore brush strokes after application can be more visible. The chalk matt has a chalky appearence but doesn't chalk off, if using on furniture we advise you finish with a wax or varnish. Like other eico paints the chalk matt can be mixed in the shop to a wide range of colours to suit your project.

In June we held our first chalk paint class in the shop where a range of techniques were demonstrated using eico chalk matt to create different effects. Some of these techniques include the basic wax/varnished look, one & two colour ageing, distressing, craqueleur and crackle glaze.
